Here's another guy that likes his fish fresh! We threw on a few more fish at the end of the day. Frank kicked this fish's "butt"(pun intended) towards the end of the day.

This fish kicked my a#@#@#!!! It would not come up for anything. Eventually I managed to get the fish to the surface and Captain Smith scooped it! It turned out to be the jackpot winner as well! It came about 2 minutes before we had to head back to port.

Carlos was THE MAN!!!! Here he is with the 4 halibut he caught! Way to go, Carlos! (not bad for his first trip, huh?) Just remember, people, even if you have never been fishing before, you can still have the trip of a lifetime!! With an excellent crew showing you how to do it and paying close attention to the passengers(as James and Mike do) you can catch fish just like these!

We started fishing Anacapa first thing in the morning for only a few seabass. We spent most of the day moving around, trying to get the seabass to bite. Unfortunately the seabass had lockjaw!

Wayne managed to land a halibut that went 12lbs.

Eric was definitely the "Hot Stick" of the day. He landed 8 yellows, 2 halibut, and 2 white seabass! And here's the kicker...he got ALL of the fish on a reel with a REALLY bad drag. We actually nicknamed him "Zippy" due to the sound his reel made---zip, zip, zzzzzip, zzzip! Congratulations Eric on such a GREAT day!

We had a slow early morning Seabass bite, but that didn't stop us from finding the Halibut.

We had 2 captains with us today. Captain Jimmy and Captain Gerry (captain of the Doble). After getting our limits of blue and black rockfish we made some halibut drifts. Gerry hooked up and landed this nice halibut.

Today we fished with Captain Bob Ingles on the Queen of Hearts out of Half Moon Bay Sportfishing in El Granada, CA. Since the Feds have implemented in Marine Reserves in the Central Coast area we decided to go South and fish Ana Nuevo Island.

Zippy dropped in with shrimp flies and live bait. He first drop produced a nice Halibut. Good Job Zippy!

On our way back home the Navy delayed our trip due to missle testing. Chris positioned the anglers to do one last drift before going home and Sam Rodriguez pulled up a flatty before day's end.
