Caught in 62 Feet of water on the east point area on Santa Rosa Island. Used a medium sardine on a sliding Sinker rig.

Webmaster Chad Woods scored the first legal Halibut of the the day. The fish was caught on a Sardine at Chineese Harbor Santa Cruz Island Channel Islands National Park.

I am back with another legal Halibut! This fish weighed in at 16 pounds 8 ounces. I caught it on a LIVE SQUID at Chineese Harbor! So far this is the biggest Halibut I have ever caught.
