Dennis
caught
another
Halibut
on
the
next
drop.
As
he
was
reeling
this
one
up
the
DFG
came
by.
Once
we
got
the
fish
on
the
boat.
The
DFG
boarded
the
New
Huck
Finn
and
checked
everybody
for
a
valid
California
Fishing
License.
Captain
Jay
told
me
that
this
is
the
fourth
time
this
year
they
have
boarded
the
boat.
Make
sure
you
bring
your
license
when
you
fish!

As soon as I hit the bottom with my LIVE SQUID I was hooked up into a nice big Santa Rosa Island California Halibut. This baby tipped the scales at 37 pounds. I am proud to say this is my biggest Halibut to date.
