I guess that Nick is a big eater, because the striper that his girlfriend(Katie) caught wasn't enough. He had to go and catch a nice halibut to go with it!

Another nice halibut on the California Dawn! I thought that it was pretty funny when she got this quality halibut, because all the guys up the rail were saying "nice 'but!" All joking aside, she did a great job hooking and landing this fish. I hope it makes her want to come out again!

This fish was HUGE!!! It was the largest on the boat this day, unfortunately for Mike, he did not get into the jackpot. (A lesson to be learned for all you guys!)

I just want for my fish to be fresh..... I finally caught my first halibut at 3 pm. This is why the California Dawn spends so much time out in the fishing grounds during the day. The tides change at different times in different ares in the bay. Captain Smith knows where and when to fish these tides for the best results and he is not shy about spending a little extra time in an area to catch more fish!
