The fish are getting bigger. This one was taken at Skunk Point on a sardine!

Wow! A personal best. I caught this monster at Skunk Point. Notice the DFG boat Swordfish in the background. They were making sure that we not fishing in one of the new Marine Reserves.

Thats right! We didnt catch White Seabass. But we did catch some really nice Halibut. Patrick and his crew did a fantastic job!

When you have a chance plan a charter on the Pacific Dawn. I am positive that you will have a good time just like we did!

What about the Halibut? Angler Scott Banks decided not to go into the jackpot confirming that if you dont go in the jackpot you catch the big fish. We had a great day on the water with beautiful weater and good water temps. Thanks to the Big Game 90 crew for a great trip and excellent effort.

The FISH COUNT:24 Anglers caught 2 Halibut, 5 Sculpin (released), and 20 or so Octopus (released).

Here is a nice Halibut caught on a skiff at the mouth of Newport Harbor.

Angler Paul Fukamae was the first to hookup into a Halibut. We had moved around quite a bit and located some fish near Angel Island. The boat traffic was very intense at this spot. Pictured to the left of Paul is Captain Jay Yokomizo.

Dennis proved the theory that the best way to catch a Halibut is to not pay attention. Dennis was joking with me when I noticed his rod buckled over. I informed him that had a fish on his line.
